security tab 

how do i get the security tab in windows xp. i right click the folder and click properties but it's not there.

Open "My Computer" from the tools menu select "folder options" then click the "view tab" scroll to the bottom of "advanced settings" and untick "use simple file sharing" and click OK, Then try right clicking your folder and selecting properties.
